What is LiveScan?
Live Scan fingerprinting is an inkless electronic fingerprinting that scans your fingerprints directly into the computer certified by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI for use in U.S. government background checks.
LiveScan digital fingerprints are uploaded and stored in the DOJ and FBI databases and continuously updated as new user information becomes available. Pay only once and the registered organization is notified of any qualifying violations within 48 hours.
LiveScan is Required By California Bill AB 506
California bill AB 506 requires all Employees and Volunteers (18+) who have 16+ hours per month or 32+ hours per year of contact with a youth to complete a LiveScan background check. The official bill can be found here: CA AB 506.
Organizations affected include: sports leagues, churches, scouting groups, camps, clubs, schools, charities, and shelters.
LiveScan Fees
The DOJ, FBI, and other agency fees are pre-set. Our fees start at $25 and volume discounts are available for large organizations. We accept cash, credits cards, Venmo, and Zelle payments. Additional fees may be incurred for travel based on location.

These fees are set and imposed by the DOJ, FBI or other special agencies. We collect the fee from you and pay these agencies directly. Our fee is only to collect and transmit your prints. Refund Policy: In the event that your credit card was over charged, a refund of the overage will be refunded back to your card. If a scan is transmitted without proper information provided by the applicant the applicant must pay the full amount for another scan. If the error was made by the scan operator, a new scan will be submitted without charge to the applicant. Privacy Policy: To protect you, no information regarding you, your business or your business activity will be sold, released or traded unless subpoenaed by a government agency.
